Located in the village of Morriston, Mount Carmel-Zion United Church has its roots deep within rural Puslinch Township. Founded in 1840, we have inherited our Christian tradition from the Methodist, Presbyterian and Evangelical United Bretheren Churches within our community. We are a congregation that unites all ages, newcomers and old timers, in active and committed service to God. Sunday mornings are busy with our informal worship service, Sunday School and nursery.

Outreach into our community is an important part of our congregation's life. We have an active community-based youth group. Seniors gather four times each year (three pot Luck lunches and a Christmas turkey dinner) at the Puslinch Community Centre. We support a number of local and global organizations including the Fair Share Food Shelf, the Rural Women's Support Programme, the Mission and Service Fund of the United Church of Canada and the Canadian Foodgrains Bank. We join with the other Christian communities in our area offering Vacation Bible School each summer and special events during Advent/Christmas and Lent/Easter seasons. We share in the leadership of the annual World Day of Prayer service and the Puslinch Remembrance Day service.

A "don't miss" event is our annual Harvest and Holly Bazaar on the second Saturday of November held at the Puslinch Community Centre in Aberfoyle.

Our Mission statement proclaims: Mount Carmel-Zion United Church, together with God and the Word, aims to provide a caring community where everyone is welcome, where people of all ages can worship, enjoy fellowship, study and grow in faith and in ministry
